Muscles Kneaded Massage

Testimonials

Dealing with severe lower back pain for the past five years, I have tried chiropractic, three different physical therapy providers, traction, steroid injection, and lumber spine surgery.
While each of these procedures brought some relief, none have been as effective for overall pain reduction, improved flexibility and increased mobility as Deep Tissue Massage Therapy
provided by Pam Ketchel at Muscles Kneaded in Howell, Michigan. Pam is extremely professional, very knowledgeable about the muscular skeletal system and dedicated to helping improve her clients overall health.

I have found Pam Ketchel’s deep tissue massage to be better than prescribed physical therapy for a problem of mine regarding a partially numb foot. Her deep tissue massage has helped my sciatic problems and my bone on bone knee tremendously. I wish her practice could be treated as physical therapy for help with insurance. I need her to keep going as a senior citizen. I wish I could see her more frequently as she helps me so much.

Pam is wonderful and very knowledgeable. I visited the chiropractor several times for low back pain with no real results, some temporary but not lasting. After one deep tissue massage my back pain was gone and did not returned until several months later! Because of my results, I encouraged my husband to make an appointment with Pam. He had been diagnosed with neuropathy and he was having difficulty walking. Needless to say, his golf game was hurting.
After one visit with Pam he had total feeling and pain free movement of his leg and foot and was able to enjoy his golf game. A subsequent visit helped relieve tension in his neck and shoulders. We are both very appreciative of Pam’s skill.
Thank you Pam.

When I first went to Pam, I was in so much pain in my feet, legs, hips, and back I could hardly walk and had been for a few years. I had been to several doctors and had many x-rays, MRI’s, physical therapy, and acupuncture but no one helped me. I was also in a chair at night because I could not lay on either side, back or stomach. After several deep tissue massages, I am able to walk with less pain and even able to lie in bed instead of sitting in a chair. I think Pam has a gift and she genuinely loves to help people feel better. I plan to continue my massages and to eventually return to my normal physical activities. If you are hurting, I recommend Pam’s massages. She knows everything about the muscles and tissue of the body and can help you.

I had 3 areas that bothered me when I went to see Pam. I suffer from recurrent sinus headaches. Pam has worked on my head, shoulders, and upper back for this. I still have occasional headaches, but less frequently. She also massages my right arm which goes numb with pain at night. This has virtually stopped. Also, my left foot has plantar fasciitis which is extremely painful. I had it treated by a podiatrist by cortisone shots which was excruciating painful and vowed I would never do that again. I feel the pain in my heel when I am walking especially after I sit a few minutes. It makes me limp and is stiff and painful until I walk a few steps then it loosens and the pain goes away. Pam’s massage of my foot, while it is painful at the time, has relieved the pain greatly. I am so pleased with the massage treatment that Pam gives for all three areas that bothered me. I am on my feet constantly as a nurse and my limp is almost gone and it has made a huge difference to me to have my pain almost eliminated.

I have had many massage therapists over a period of 22 years, but none of them compare with Pam. She says she does deep tissue and really does and has no difficulty finding the pressure points. She works on them until she gets results. Pam can name every muscle in your body and describe them while she’s working on them. All the others massage therapists I’ve seen said they did deep tissue but didn’t. Since I’ve been going to Pam the pain in my hips is gone and the pain in the side of my neck. I’m so grateful I found her. Pam is very honest and gives you more than your moneys worth. If you haven’t used her, you don’t know what you’re missing!

I have pain in my left groin and also left hip. I’ve tried physical therapy twice and chiropractors’ three times with no relief. Earlier this year I couldn’t walk a half mile without pain. After six treatments with Pam I can walk two miles without pain. I am much more limber. I couldn’t walk up steps without a lot of pain in my left groin before these six treatments.

I was referred to Pam through good friends of mine about 10 months ago. At that time, I had severe SI joint, hip, leg and shoulder pain. I had been through cortisone injections and physical therapy with very little results. I am a full time Mammographer and I am on my feet all day. Before I started my therapy with Pam, I was convinced that I was going to have to give up my job. After just a few months with Pam, I was feeling better and now almost one year later I am completely pain free! I even plan on picking up bicycling again; something I haven’t done in 20 years! Pam has a natural gift for healing and she has completely transformed my life!

God bless you, Pam

After 18 years of ongoing pain from a neck injury and countless visits to physical therapy and doctors, I finally am getting relief from the deep tissue massage. Thank you Pam for your knowledge and ability to find my pain and work through my healing. My husband was a non-believer until he finally went for massage session. He now tells everyone with his arms circling wide "It’s a total body experience!" He gets it! He says he feels better and more alive after every session. I can’t say enough about Pam’s knowledge and abilities. I’m sorry it took me so long to find her. We will both be on-going clients. Keep up the good work Pam!

As a suffer from lower back and shoulder pain for years, I’ve encountered numerous massage therapists. NEVER.I repeat NEVER have I ever encountered a more experienced and professional massage therapist than the owner of Muscles Kneaded. I limped in with pain and walked out without pain. This lady knows her stuff. She is professional and through; a true credit to her profession

It is a gift when one finds their true God given talent in this life. Pam shares this gift with all of us. Her therapeutic massage has shown me an alternative to debilitating drug therapy, allowing my body a more natural and effective path to healing. She has magic fingers and is not afraid to use them.

Getting a massage and getting a chiropractic adjustment has been a way of pain control for me for many years. My problem lies with my back and legs. I was referred to Pam by my son and a good friend. The difference between getting a massage and getting massage therapy from Pam has enlightened me and has relieved my symptoms to complete comfort.

Pam is blessed with a gift that allows her to feel the painful areas and work the muscles to not only relieve the pain but actually cause blood flow to give me mobility and energy to my body.

Pam's knowledge and most of all her listening ear gives her the ability to thoroughly give her clients confidence that she will do everything she can to help the clients live a pain free life.

Thank you Pam and God Bless

The benefits I have experienced with Pam have been amazing. I have arthritis in my hip and a slight slipped disc in my lower back. Pam works in those areas and I fee so much relief from her work.

I use to be a Professional bowler but now I do a lot of amateur competition. By seeing Pam the last 8 months she has helped me to basically bowl pain free. I have had a lot of massages over the years, but there is no comparison with Pam. She is the best. I would recommend her to anyone. You will not leave her table until she feels her job is done!

Thank you for your hard work Pam

At age 29 I have dealt with low back pain for 10 years. I have had 2 surgeries, steroid injections, and other pain medication. After visiting Pam regularly for 2 months she has helped me manage my back pain and has given me a quality of life. I now have a better alternative to surgery or medication.

Pam Ketchel was my mother's Massage Therapist during the last few years of her life. I am convinced that Pam's healing touch and therapeutic massage techniques improved her circulation and overall well-being, enhancing her quality of life while easing her pain.

My mom had many advanced health issues, including congestive heart failure. Pam not only extended my mother's life through her work and love, but provided her with much relief from so much suffering and distress, and for this, I am eternally grateful. I know how much my mom looked forward to Pam's visits, as did I.

Thank you Pam from the bottom of our hearts.
With much Love and Gratitude,

I have been suffering from severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for a few years now. The pain, numbness, and tingling was enough to wake me up several times at night and bothered me throughout most of the day. Just recently the doctor told me I would need surgery to relieve the pain, however I couldn't see how I would manage not using my hands for several months with a job that requires typing and raising a toddler, not to mention the fact that I am not a fan of getting surgery if it's not absolutely needed. So, I started to seek other alternatives and found out about Pam from a family member. At first I was skeptical. I couldn't see how massage would help me. I figured I would go once and then wind up with the surgery. I couldn't have been more wrong. After the first visit my symptoms decreased by 75%. I just had my second appointment and now several days later my symptoms are decreased by 90%! My only regret is that I didn't try this before now!

Pam has a deep knowledge of massage therapy and she is a wonderful person to know. I am very thankful I was referred to her and will not only continue my therapy for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome but plan to have her do other massage therapy for me and my husband.

Pam began massage therapy on our 19 year old daughter in January of 2004. She has focused her therapy on posture related problems caused by muscle imbalance i.e., forward head posture, rounded shoulders, curvature of her spine, teeth grinding, scar tissue on her feet (from surgeries), and concentric strain in her hands due to clenching them into a fist. ALL areas have improved dramatically. Her back x-ray has gone from 43/45 to 35/39 within 6 months and she is overall healthier than she has ever been. Pam is very consciencious of her work and extremely reliable. I give her the highest of recommendations.

Pam has treated me for a period of 3 years. She has been professional and accomplished in her treatment. Her deep tissue massage has greatly improved my ability to work and be active in my everyday life.

I have been receiving massage therapy from many different therapists over the past 15 years and Pam is the first massage therapist to work a troublesome area enough to offer instant relief as well as long term benefits where chronic pain was concerned. Her natural ability to find "stuck" areas and then be able to release them, is a real gift! I honestly have never felt better since seeing Pam. I have been going 2-3 times a month and I feel great.

I have a form of Dystopia called Spasmodic Torticollis. Because of this ailment, my head turns severely to the right and I’ve also developed scoliosis and arthritis. Deep tissue massage is a total blessing and I’ve had many massage therapists in the past seven years but, Pam has benefited my condition more in the past 10 months than I’ve had collectively in the previous six years. Her technique as well as her professionalism and concern for my well-being has gradually led me from severe and chronic pain to a nearly pain free life. Pam is totally reliable and her skills and ability are priceless to me. I Highly recommend Pam.

I have had many massages over the years with different people. Pam is one of the best I have had. Her deep massage helps with a bulging disc in my neck. If it weren't for her I would be in pain most of the time. She is always pleasant and will ask how you are and if there are any special need areas. I would recommend Pan to anyone. Wherever she is I will be there. She is always concerned about you and will always help massage you back to health. Thanks Pam!! You are the best!!

I have had chronic and extremely severe pain in my shoulders, elbows, hands, and muscles in my arms. I have suffered with pain filled nights, numbness and sharp pains in my hands and wrists. I have had cortisone shots and physical therapy. Neither had any lasting affect. Since I have been receiving deep tissue massage from Pam, I have almost had my pain eliminated. I am so happy to have discovered the benefits of deep tissue massage before suffering years of pain! Pam has also helped me with pain in areas I didn’t realize I suffered pain in!! She is spectacular!

I am 39-years old and before I started massage therapy, I had a bad rotator cuff injury that bothered me for a year and a half, keeping me up all night. Also, my right SI joint would periodically go out and leave me useless until I could get in to see the chiropractor. I suffered with these two problems for about seven years. After I started seeing Pam, my rotator cuff is so much better that many times I forget that I had a problem; I have full movement and no pain in my shoulder. As for my SI joint, it has not gone out a single time since I have had massage therapy for the past year. As for a massage from Pam, you could not have anyone any better. She is very professional and does an outstanding job. We won’t even let anyone else give us a massage (my wife and I) except for Pam.

Employed in public education stress is just part of my job. Over the years I have gone to several massage therapists for relief from symptoms of stress. Pam has been one of the best at relieving these symptoms. Her deep tissue techniques are excellent and her massages outstanding. Her knowledge of the human body (muscles, joints, etc.) is impressive and her relationship with clients very professional.

Since becoming a client I noticed that I am pain free for longer periods of time. Additionally, I feel that I have more energy and a general feeling of well-being when I get a massage on a regular basis. I know that finding a massage therapist skilled in therapeutic methods has not always been easy, so I appreciate your talent, your concern, and your professionalism

Over the years I have found that a massage therapist is someone that every person should experience. I clean houses and work in a deli and I don’t know how I would be able to continue if it wasn’t for Pam. She is really in tune with people. She can pin point the source of your pain and relieve it. I need someone who can get into my deep tissues and she’s it. She is very good in explaining the body to you. How your tendons and muscles work. I have tried a few therapists and Pam is the best one that I have found. I would recommend her to anyone.

Christine Taylor

It is with great pleasure to inform you of the wonderful benefits I have received as a result of Pam’s therapeutic massage techniques. I have been a patient of Pam's for approximately one year. During this time Pam has demonstrated exceptional skill and knowledge regarding her massage therapy. She has truly relieved me from a great deal of pain. Pam is a wonderful, caring, compassionate individual who dedicates herself to her profession and making others well.

Pam has been my massage therapist for about six months. I began massage therapy just over a year ago when I completed my Doctorate degree. After almost six years of extended study, research, and constant extreme stress, I found that my neck and back muscles were awfully tight. Because of the stress, I was experiencing daily stress headaches. The pain in my neck and back was so severe that I did not even notice other areas of my body, such as my arms and lest, that were also extremely tight from years of stress and daily wear and tear on my muscles. My stress headaches are completely gone and Pam is currently focusing on my arms. My arms are very tight and just about a month ago I couldn’t lift either arm over my head without pain. My right arm is considerably better and I am seeing constant improvement in my left arm. Pam continues to maintain the progress on my back and neck. Pam is caring and knowledgeable massage therapist. She has great knowledge of the muscular system and demonstrates a high level of comfort and confidence in working muscles to get to the deeper layers. I am always amazed at how she can find tight areas and work on them without me having to tell her that those areas are a problem. Pam is very easy to talk to and she has a relaxing and caring personality. She is always genuinely concerned about my health and well-being. I highly recommend her to any friend, family member, and acquaintance seeking a massage therapist. I also plan on continuing my massage therapy with Pam for the foreseeable future. I can honestly say that each time I get up off the massage table, I am convinced that Pam just gave me the best massage of my whole life...and this happens each and every week! I offer Pam my highest recommendation.

I've had a bad car accident and also got hurt by being thrown from a horse. If it wasn't for Pam, I don't know how I could even function. She keeps me loose and able to move and helps with my pain levels. Besides that, she's a great friend ! Love you, Dianna

Dianna Jackson

Thanks to Pam, I don't wake up in the early morning hours with by back aching anymore. After several years of weekly Chiropractor visits, I now only go for Chiropractic adjustment every couple of months. Thanks so much Pam.

Paul Jackson

Pain in my right knee and hips made it difficult to walk. Deep tissue massage by Pam fixed both problems. Pam also noticed that I walked with my feet pointing inward. After massage, both feet now point straight ahead. I can walk without pain!

Carolyn L. Wesner

As a result of a fall, I broke my knee cap. Pam's massage helped the healing process. I also have arthritis in both knees and Pam's massage has allowed me to walk without pain.

William V. Wesner

Pam has helped me continue my profession of an Occupational Therapist seeing her twice a month. I was going to get an L1-L4 fusion and she has managed to relieve me and help me lead a functional life.

When I started with Pam 2 years ago, I was limping very badly and in a great deal of pain. Pam has lowered my right hip 4 inches and I do not have as much of a limp as I had before I began massage. I have lost 30 lbs. and I do not have the pain I once had.

I have explored a cave. I have climbed a boardwalk to a waterfall, gone to Disneyland and other places I would never have been able to walk without the good results I received from Pam's massages.

For 2 years my legs were going out on me. At 73 I hated the thought of being in a wheel chair the rest of my life. I have had Spinal Stynosis for about 4 years which is getting worse. I also have degenerate arthritis of the spine, 2 pinched nerves and the last back X-rays showed cushion missing between 4 vertebrae. One of my doctors sent me to 15 physical therapy treatments. During the visits the heat, massages, etc felt good, but I kept having difficulty getting out of the car, on and off the toilet, using my arms more from going from a sitting position to standing. After 6 visits with Pam and her deep tissue massage, I have been able to remove the riser from my toilet seat, and I can get out of the car the first try instead of going one, two, and three. My primary doctor and my damaged nerve specialist said the only thing left for them to do was prescribe Vicodin and suggest I go to the pain clinic at Beaumont Hospital, which has a 25% chance of relieving pain. I thank God that my son and daughter-in-law kept insisting that I see Pam. I still visit her twice a month as needed. I would highly recommend anyone to seek her therapeutic massages.

Lillie D. Hill

The first time I visited Pam I got to admit I was skeptical. After one visit I was amazed at the relief I felt in my neck and back. I have been coming back for a year now and have seen a big difference in my range of motion in my neck and the absence of pain in my back especially when working in the yard. I have been recommending Pam since my first visit and brought my 73 year old mother to her and she is also seeing big improvements.

John Hill

I rely on monthly massages with Pam. They are wonderful! I exercise a lot and therefore get tight glutes, which can have a negative effect on just about everything. Pam works hard to make everything "right" again!

Mary E. Lemons

I would highly recommend Pam Ketchel for a therapeutic massage. I fell on the ice in the winter, and after one massage with Pam I felt so much better. I have gone repeated times and she is working on restoring the circulation in my legs. I have had problems with circulation for years, and my legs feel great now. The office is pleasant and the massages are relaxing and make you feel so much better mentally and physically.

Christina A. Knapp

I highly recommend Pam’s deep therapeutic massages. A couple of weeks ago my hip and back burned real bad and I couldn’t sleep or sit. Pam got me in at 10:00 that night and gave me a deep tissue massage. By the next day I felt great.

Tom Knapp

I would recommend anyone to Pam, she brought my tennis elbow a long way. She is very professional thorough and a very nice person. I have recommended Pam to several of my friends if ever the need for Therapy. Thank you Pam!

My name is Sharon Angus. I was blessed to have found Pam in Sept. of 2006. I have fibromylagia and chronic Myofascial pain so bad I couldn’t turn over in bet at night. I never slept more than 1 or 2 hours. I was awake most of the night. I had no active life. I couldn’t walk even to my mail box or walk my 2 small dogs. House work took hours to get even small jobs done. The more I tried to move the worse the pain increased. I couldn’t even cross my legs while sitting down or remain in one position for more than a few minutes at a time. After getting deep tissue massage I have my life back. I can move, walk to the mail box, and take short walks with my dogs. I sleep much better and longer now. Housework is easier and faster. I’ve traveled to Florida and spent the winter there. Site seeing and camping, even ride on a motorcycle with my husband. I wish everyone knew the benefit of massage. My pain is so much less now. I am so grateful to Pam for helping me to live as much of a normal life as possible. She is very professional, knowledgeable and caring to each and every one of her clients. My only regret is that I didn’t meet her much sooner.

-Get your life back,
Sharon Angus

I have had dozens of massages from different therapists and can say without a doubt Pam is far more productive than anyone else. My buddy told me about her. He is about 6’4". He said she is the only person that ever got deep into his tissue. He was right! Pam is dedicated to "TRUE DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE". I have a disc problem in my back. I have had surgery in 2003.
My back has troubled me for years and since I started seeing Pam, I have progressively enjoyed benefits of less pain, more motion and a general overall improvement. I am 47 years old, suffered with back and leg pain for the past 15 years. Out of all the different options that I have tried, I believe the most successful has been the deep tissue massage received from Pam Ketchel. I started seeing Pam in February of 2008 and am writing this letter on September of 2008
